Phone forwarding lets Jay answer calls using the approved setup for your business.

Before changing phone routing

Confirm these details first:

  • The public phone number callers use today
  • The number Jay should answer
  • The hours Jay should answer
  • Whether Jay should answer every call or only overflow calls
  • Who should receive urgent transfers
  1. Test Jay with an internal test number.
  2. Place several realistic test calls.
  3. Confirm summaries are reaching the right team members.
  4. Enable forwarding during a low-risk window.
  5. Keep a team member available during the first live hour.

Rollback plan

Keep your original phone routing instructions available. If anything feels off during launch, your team should be able to turn forwarding off and return calls to the previous path.
