Voice Agent Overview

Jay answers calls using the greeting and instructions approved for your business. The goal is simple: make callers feel heard, collect the right details, and send your team a useful summary.

What Jay can do

  • Greet callers warmly.
  • Answer common questions from your approved business profile.
  • Ask follow-up questions.
  • Take messages.
  • Route calls based on your rules.
  • Send a call summary to your team.

What Jay should not do

Jay should not guess, make promises your team has not approved, or handle emergencies that require a human. If a caller needs something outside the approved instructions, Jay should collect the details and hand off to your team.

Standard call flow

  1. Jay greets the caller and gives the recording notice.
  2. Jay asks how it can help.
  3. Jay answers from the approved business profile or gathers details.
  4. Jay follows the handoff rule for that situation.
  5. Your team receives the summary.

Testing before launch

Test calls should cover:

  • A normal appointment or service request
  • A pricing or services question
  • An after-hours caller
  • A caller who asks for something Jay should not answer
  • A caller who needs a human handoff
